Your Impact

You will help McKinsey consultants tell their stories to clients by turning their conceptual drafts into visually compelling presentation content.
As a Business Presentation Designer, you will work primarily on presentation projects daily, collaborating with consultants and peer designers to deliver compelling business presentations. You will help provide compelling and effective visual communication solutions for a wide variety of needs of the consultants. Your work will combine adherence to tight deadlines with creativity and commitment to quality. You will create materials in compliance with detailed brand guidelines and style requirements, ensuring high quality and positive audience experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to single slide production in PowerPoint to open a meeting discussion, creating a powerful data visualization illustration, end-to-end customized presentation designs, and consistent presentation formatting along predefined brand guidelines.
You will work with our consultants to develop ideas for transforming initial drafts and data input into visually engaging and interactive experiences for our clients. You will advise on the optimal graphic approach during briefing discussion, draft proposals and develop final presentation materials by ensuring high quality both in content and graphic layer.

You will work in Seoul as part of McKinsey’s Visual Graphics Team. This is a one-year fixed-term contract. Your team provides support in improving visual communications for McKinsey consultants in South Korea. Your team is part of design community in McKinsey and interacts regularly with regional and global groups to exchange knowledge and best practices.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Graduate in a design-related field such as graphic design
  • 1+ years of experience in a graphic-related field or freelancing is preferred but not required
  • Design Portfolio required
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite with emphasis on PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (CC) a requirement (PS / AI)
  • Customer service focus; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Quality-driven mindset with strong eye for layout and design and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in fast-paced environment, to prioritize and organize work schedule to meet deadlines
  • Ability to express ideas graphically, problem-solve and communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Willingness to learn, share knowledge and experience with peers, open mindset towards changes and eagerness for continuous improvement
  • Quality-driven mindset and excellent attention to detail
  • Native level language skills in Korean and conversational fluency skills in English
