Hi all,

Back with a quick update! We are in the thick of our campus recruiting season in North America, which is always an exciting (albeit busy!) time.

I’ve previously written about my passion for recruiting and mentoring talent in the past, so I was really excited to work with another two summer associates this summer over the course of three client engagements. Both are women—one was part of our Operations practice, based in New York, and the other was a generalist from our Chicago office. I’m excited that both were fantastic and received offers to join us full time!

Colchuck Lake – the view from our campsite

If you’re considering consulting as a potential career option, I’d highly encourage you to apply for a summer internship with us. It’s a great way to test out consulting, and learn what our culture and teams are like (and ultimately decide if you’d like to join full time!). I’ve always made sure that the summers on my teams have had their own workstreams with individual responsibilities on some pretty cool client projects.

The “core” of the Enchantments – Lord of the Rings vibes!

On a personal note, now that the weather is a little cooler, I’ve been thinking back to the highlights from my summer, which in typical PNW fashion, included lots of hiking and camping. One of my most memorable adventures was a hike in the Enchantments, which is a protected area in the Central Cascades, WA. It is actually so protected that the only way you can get a campsite there is by lottery system. Amazingly, two of our friends managed to secure a campsite, so we were able to enjoy about 20 miles of hiking with absolutely breathtaking scenery. The photo at the top of this page is from the top of  the Aasgard Pass. Enjoy the pics!
