Different challenges, all meaningful

I get bored really easily. I love to work with different people and I like to see my work make a difference. I came to McKinsey after business school because the firm offered me consistent exposure to new, interesting, important challenges and the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from different people every day.

I joined the Operations practice because the work we do applies high-level conceptual thinking. I focus on supply chain management; when we make adjustments – even minor ones – to this part of a client’s business, we see the results quickly. It’s really exciting. For example, one of my teams helped an organization adjust its procurement processes after selling a major part of its business. I worked with a client to reduce indirect spend and adjust the R&D project portfolio. We tackled issues on all levels with a large group of stakeholders. Seeing how much my client learned and how satisfied he was made it worth the effort.

Outside of work, I am a massive travel geek; I love to explore new countries and cultures as often as possible. Last year, I canoed from Canada to Alaska. This year, I am planning a trip to the Outback of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
