I wasn’t leaning toward joining McKinsey until my first set of interviews. The conversations I had that day gave me perspective on the great work we do. I felt an all–round positive vibe; the people who sat across from me were real, genuine individuals with lives and interests beyond the firm that they brought into their work every day. The colleagues I’ve met and friends I’ve made since motivate me through their curiosity, authenticity, and openness. One of the most special things about McKinsey is how inclusive everyone is. Working somewhere with such an active and valued LGBTQ+ community, like McKinsey’s Equal at McKinsey network, is a privilege. It signals we’re embracing all forms of diversity including gender, ethnic, socio–economic and abilities.

I’m happy to help our community of Equal at McKinsey and allies further our outreach by organizing events like Proud Leaders.
