Marcos coleads McKinsey’s institutional investing work globally. He has worked extensively with many of the world’s leading institutional investors, including large pension plans and sovereign wealth funds across Asia, the Middle East, and North America. Marcos has helped numerous institutions transform their investment strategies, including through a focus on absolute return investing and through emerging markets and thematic investing, and has worked with all investment groups across liquid and illiquid asset classes. He has also helped a number of clients execute transformations of their governance structures, risk management approaches, operations, and talent management.

Marcos is author of The best of times and the worst of times for institutional investors: How institutional investors should adapt their strategies to the changing investment landscape, which was the result of a global benchmarking initiative of large institutional investors collectively representing almost $4 trillion in capital. He is also a chartered financial analyst.
