Join the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network, in collaboration with McKinsey, and shape the future of advanced manufacturing and production in the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Organizations across the globe are enjoying the benefits of the network of industrial lighthouses.

In 2019, McKinsey and the World Economic Forum are growing the network of industrial lighthouses. We’re looking for outstanding organizations that are embracing Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies at scale, across multiple sites and throughout their end-to-end value chain.

We’re in search of organizations that are creating value through removing barriers between people and systems throughout value chains, and scaling digital transformations across production networks—digital champions that are great collaborators, sharing their expertise across geographies and sectors.

Specifically, these digital champions create value across one or more of the following 5 Digital Archetypes: End-to End Product Development, End-to-End Planning, End-to-End Delivery, Supplier Connectivity, and Customer Connectivity. In every archetype, an industrial lighthouse deploys a wide range of interconnected 4IR technologies to achieve substantial impact at scale.

Are you interested in joining the network? Organizations that are selected will:

  • Receive public recognition of the role they are playing in leading the future of production.
  • Be part of conversations with governments, academia, technology pioneers and civil society, and play a key role in the development of a favorable ecosystem and learning platform for technology adoption and dissemination across industry sectors.
  • Gain access to the C-suite 4IR community, the opportunity to visit other industrial lighthouse sites for peer-to-peer site feedback sessions, and to develop coalitions and partnerships throughout the network.

Through adoption of fourth-industrial-revolution technologies, our existing network of 26 industrial lighthouses are reporting great impact, including 50 to 60 percent improvement in operational key performance indicators (KPIs) and 15 to 20 percent improvement in financial KPIs, from their digitization programs. They are moving further and faster than their peers in the use of flexible automation, connectivity, and intelligence.

Register your interest in joining the program by submitting the form by July 30, 2019, and learn more about joining our network of industrial lighthouses.
