A new model for HBCU online learning
Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have a strong record of advancing economic mobility. According to McKinsey research, HBCUs enroll more than twice as many Pell Grant–eligible students as non-HBCUs, and their graduates are 51 percent more likely to move into a higher-income quintile.
To make HBCU education accessible to more learners, Delaware State University partnered with McKinsey to launch eHBCU, a first-of-its-kind online consortium that connects students nationwide to degrees, credentials, and career pathways across multiple HBCUs while preserving each institution's distinct mission and culture.
