Jan is a partner in our Zurich office and a core leader in our wealth and asset management sector. He serves banks, in particular wealth and asset managers, in Europe and Asia, and addresses the implications of an accelerated pace of change in business and operating models.

He helps his clients define group and divisional strategies and brings deep expertise in designing operating models for front-, mid-, and back-office functions. Some of his recent work includes the following:

  • defining several groups as well as regional and functional strategies, including segment and community focus, product shelf design, and distribution mix
  • designing a new operating model for an investment organization that included global setup, investment process redesign, portfolio management, and tiering of products and services
  • launching and scaling up a transformation for agile ways of working, such as the merge of traditional and agile governance, the design of cross-functional teams, and upgraded development and delivery pipelines
  • guiding several pilots for a business-oriented use of analytics like use case identification, setup of teams, and support of adoption in business

In addition to McKinsey, Jan was part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, and he is passionate about supporting start-ups and ventures.

Jan is fluent in German and English and conversationally fluent in French.
