MGI on Latin America ... Mapping the global capital markets third annual report ... McKinsey Global Institute anthology series
Welcome to the latest edition of MGI's research update

MGI on Latin America
The McKinsey Quarterly special edition on Latin America features new MGI research assessing the offshoring prospects of Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. In an article on Brazil, we propose five groups of priority measures to boost productivity that could lift GDP growth to a sustained rate of 7 percent a year. Other MGI research on the region's capital markets finds that, although financial depth is low, Latin America could be on the verge of a breakthrough. In assessing what is holding Latin America back, we argue a big part of the answer is the weak performance of services.
