Describe your working style.

As a solution leader, I manage our cyber practice and developing products, what we call cyber solutions. I enjoy developing new solutions because it requires a team effort and happens together with our clients.

What about cyber energizes you?

The importance of the topic, the fact it will become even more important in the future, and its interdisciplinary character. I like how complex cyber is; I get a rush translating technical complexity into something senior managers with limited IT experience can understand. And, within McKinsey, the people working in this space are phenomenal; we have a great community of talented people, all passionate about cyber.

What is most rewarding about your current role?

Seeing the momentum cyber is building externally and internally. It is one of the most important and most challenging risks, and we’re receiving lots of requests from clients for expertise on this topic. For example, it is great to see how we can help clients immediately after they got hit by a cyber–attack (e.g. NotPetya). But there are also transformational efforts where we help to build a cyber/information security function within a company.

Describe your cyber career goals

To continue the growth of the cyber practice as well as our cyber community which has amazing, diverse people. Best team I was part so far consists of 7 colleagues from 5 different countries and all with professional experience in cyber even before they joined McKinsey.
