Suvojoy brings more than 25 years of experience across all aspects of energy markets and value chains to his role at McKinsey. He has advised clients in the oil and gas, power, and renewables sectors on strategy, technology, operations, and organizational transformation across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. His expertise covers fuel marketing, liquified natural gas and natural gas, power generation, transmission, and renewables.
Some of his recent client work includes advising a five-gigawatt renewables independent power producer on growth strategy and operational improvement, evaluating investment opportunities in stressed power generation assets for an Indian industrial major, defining the strategic roadmap for India's national gas company, and leading the organizational transformation of a leading energy-efficiency-services company. He has also engineered the rapid turnaround of the captive-power-plant operations of a leading industrials group and undertaken investment planning for multiple global clients in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States in the power and renewable-energy space.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Suvojoy was a partner a global consulting firm and managing director of the India practice. In the past, he has served several leading Indian corporates in the power and oil and gas sectors, as well as power utilities in Europe.
Suvojoy is a member of CII Power committee and regularly shares his expertise as a speaker at energy industry fora and conferences. He has coauthored several landmark McKinsey publications on the energy sector in India.
