Shahed is a leader in McKinsey’s Healthcare and Operations Practices and has deep expertise in healthcare affordability and quality. Shahed also co-leads McKinsey’s Canadian Healthcare Practice. He serves institutions across the healthcare spectrum, including regional and national payers, investors, health services, and technology companies. He helps them improve their operating models and performance, build long-term capabilities, advises on investment decisions.

As co-leader of McKinsey’s Healthcare Insights Domain, Shahed also incubates and delivers market-backed intelligence and insights that are vital to informing investment decisions, growth strategy, and business-building efforts.

Examples of Shahed’s recent work include:

  • leading a business-building and growth effort for an employer benefits-focused healthcare services company, to achieve 5x revenue growth in 3 years
  • driving an analytics-driven medical cost transformation for a large multi-state organization across payment integrity, utilization management, and care management which resulted in more than $300M in impact
