Greg Graves

Leader in McKinsey’s Life Sciences Practice in the United States, focusing on defining winning corporate strategies in the face of industry disruption

Greg is a partner in our Philadelphia office and is a leader in McKinsey’s Life Sciences Practice in the United States. He works with companies across the value chain, including biopharmaceutical originators and life science inputs and services companies, such as contract manufacturers, equipment, and consumable suppliers. Greg leads the practice’s thinking on the future of the biopharmaceutical industry. These perspectives enable him to help companies establish winning corporate strategies that thrive in a wide range of market uncertainties.

Some of his recent client work includes the following:

  • reimagining the business model for a major biopharmaceutical company, with an eye toward competing effectively in a rapidly changing industry
  • building a more than $5 billion biopharma inputs business in a chemicals company with no historical experience in the biopharma industry
  • defining commercial strategies for launching assets, including gene therapies and digital health offerings
  • developing direct-to-consumer models for biopharma, including at-home drug delivery

Prior to joining McKinsey, Greg worked in the defense industry.
