| From purpose to action. Crafting a strategy has always been demanding. In 2010, only 35 percent of surveyed executives said they had a high-quality, robust strategy. Since then, McKinsey has created various tools to help leaders develop and test their plan of action. Now, we’ve folded those techniques into an updated strategy method that pinpoints the ways today’s strategy champions are thriving in a complicated world.
A new operating model for a new world. In the 1970s, McKinsey introduced the 7-S framework, featured in In Search of Excellence. We’ve been using it in our work with organizations ever since. But even great ideas can be improved on. Last month, we published our update: the Organize to Value system, which delivers even more effectively four outcomes that CEOs prize—clarity, speed, skills, and commitment. We hope you find these ideas inspiring and insightful. See you in a couple of weeks with more McKinsey ideas for the CEO and others in the C-suite. | | |
