Leads the Medicare work within the firm’s Healthcare Systems & Services Practice with a focus on serving clients in the healthcare space, including large health plans, hospital systems, retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical, and medical products companies

Monisha currently leads the firm’s Medicare work within our Healthcare Practice. Since joining the firm, she has focused on serving clients in the healthcare space, including large health plans, hospital systems, retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical, and medical products companies.

Monisha’s recent experiences include working with large health plans to review and improve their Medicare business performance; defining local-market Medicare entry and exit strategies for regional health plans and providers; designing the end-to-end revenue optimization (risk adjustment and stars) process for payors, including stakeholder-specific requirements; and defining and implementing postreform payor product strategies, including novel, collaborative reimbursement models with providers. She has also bridged the payor-provider divide by developing innovative, combined strategies to reduce medical and administrative costs, and she has managed the implementation of large-scale health system operational transformations.

Monisha served in the office of the president of the Beth Israel Deaconess medical center, helping to design and implement a new operational strategy, focused on multiservice-line lean transformation. Prior to joining McKinsey, she worked as a dental surgeon.
