Senthu Arumugam

Advises private- and public-sector clients on the setup and execution of enterprise-wide performance transformations; brings deep expertise in leading transformational change and turnarounds in healthcare providers and payers

Senthu is a partner in our Healthcare Practice as well as the McKinsey Transformation Practice. He advises health insurers and hospitals across Asia and North America on performance transformation and service operations strategies. He has helped numerous healthcare clients drive performance transformation through support-spanning strategy and operations. Such work includes supporting growth by improving patient access across inpatient and outpatient settings, improving member and patient experience by using digital tools and advanced analytics to eliminate key pain points in the customer journey, and optimizing administrative function productivity through the application of lean principles.

As a leader within McKinsey’s Transformation Practice, Senthu also brings deep, cross-sector expertise across geographies in the design and end-to-end delivery of large scale, enterprise-wide transformation and turnaround programs. He has partnered with publicly listed and private-equity-owned entities in Asia and North America on their transformation journeys—from working with leaders across the organization to assess the value at stake with improved performance, identifying the value drivers and plans needed to capture that value, and driving the full implementation of those value capture strategies.

Before joining McKinsey, Senthu worked in investment banking in London and New York, focused on equity-derivative and -financing solutions for investment funds across Europe and North America.
