Roberto is a partner based in McKinsey’s London office who serves leading consumer companies on their most challenging operations and transformation topics. As a leader in McKinsey Analytics, McKinsey Digital, and the firm’s Operations Practice, he focuses on Industry 4.0, large-scale transformations, and operational excellence.

Roberto leads the firm’s work in consumer packaged goods digital manufacturing operations, helping clients understand Industry 4.0 and how to leverage new solutions and technologies to achieve higher performance levels.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • developing a global digital vision and road map for an end-to-end supply chain, ranging from product introduction and regulatory affairs to planning and manufacturing
  • conducting a consumer goods manufacturer’s global supply chain transformation, targeting a more than $2 billion increase in margin over five years
  • directing a multibillion-dollar company’s integration and merger management, including the delivery of a smooth day-one cut over, organization design for more than 12,000 employees, and identification of more than $500 million in synergies
  • creating a leading consumer company’s global, cross-category enterprise-to-enterprise network footprint strategy and bottom-up modeling, generating initiatives for a bottom line reduction of more than $150 million
  • designing and implementing a consumer company’s plant of the future, including developing a global operating model, creating and deploying use cases, and conducting a multisite roll out and capability building program
  • creating and building an Industry 4.0 capability center for more than 100,000 workers, including defining a training curriculum for chief experience officers and operators and designing two production lines and more than 50 use cases
  • An engineer by training, with hands-on experience in production, Roberto spent the beginning of his career in the industry at Avery Dennison, covering a variety of roles in project engineering and production management across Europe and the United States.
