About Sai

Sai is a seasoned telecommunications practitioner. He has over 20 years of experience in the industry as an adviser and as an executive. At McKinsey, he is the global leader of the network operations domain and leads issues on telecommunications technologies across APAC.

Sai works with telecommunications companies around the world, helping them transform network operations, cost, product offerings, and technology. He has a particular focus on agile diagnostics and advanced analytics in network.

Recent examples of his client work include the following:

  • leading network-operating model and cost transformations at multiple telecommunications companies in Southeast Asia
  • driving a comprehensive cost and operations transformation program for a mobile operator, focusing across network, IT, care and other functions
  • advising a leading B2B operator on cost transformation through operational and procurement synergies across geographies
  • advising an integrated operator on datacenter consolidation, modernization, and business model change for data storage

In addition to client service, Sai takes an active role in McKinsey knowledge development. He is the leader of cutting-edge solutions and propositions, such as Network360, that have garnered recognition and expedited impact for clients in the telecommunications industry. He is also a regular speaker at industry forums and corporate board events in Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Sai was a consultant serving communications, media, and high tech companies at the Singapore and Dallas offices of a global management consulting firm. For nine years, he oversaw product and technology development at a multinational telecommunications company in the United States.
