About Wojtek

Wojtek leads McKinsey’s Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail Practices in Central and Eastern Europe. He helps global fast-moving-consumer-goods companies and leading retailers set strategy, boost sales, and drive operational and performance management improvement programs.

Since joining McKinsey in 2001, Wojtek has worked across a diverse range of consumer-goods and retail sectors, including food and beverage, life style, and specialty. In his advisory work, he often helps executives find new sources of growth by boosting performance in areas such as product marketing, lean program design, and pricing management.

Examples of his work include:

  • developing a new digital strategy for a convenience grocery delivery platform in Central Europe
  • directing a performance transformation program for the largest grocery retailer in the Baltic states
  • designing a diversification growth strategy for a leading book and lifestyle retailer in Central Eastern Europe
  • leading a major Polish retailer through a new private-label architecture design process transformation
  • implementing an operational transformation program for two major specialty retailers in Poland
  • directing a revenue management transformation program for a leading beverage producer in Poland; the effort included pricing redesign and promotion efficiency improvement

Leveraging expertise developed through multinational work across Europe, Wojtek led two recent McKinsey Global Institute research efforts: an investigation into the potential to ignite economic progress in Central Eastern Europe, and a study of the potential for accelerated growth for Poland.

Before joining McKinsey, Wojtek was a consultant at the London and Warsaw offices of the Monitor Company. He also worked at Procter & Gamble in the US, Poland, and Belgium, where he led numerous growth projects for beverage manufacturers and directly managed selected brands of the P&G portfolio. Wojtek speaks English and Polish fluently, and is conversant in Russian.
