About Wajid

Wajid is a partner and a core contributor to McKinsey’s Financial Services Practice in Asia. He works closely with financial institutions in Southeast Asia and India on topics related to strategy, risk, marketing and sales, and operations.

Recently, Wajid developed a strategy and performance-acceleration program for the wholesale banking unit of a large bank in Thailand. He also helped a large bank in India redefine its operating architecture across both front-end and back-end operations. This work included redesigning branches and processing centers, redefining the bank’s operating model, and setting up the change-management organization to support the effort. Wajid assisted one of the largest banks in Singapore in defining a risk-appetite framework, including risk metrics for each business unit.

Wajid joined the McKinsey Knowledge Center as a senior analyst in 2005.
