Tuomas is a partner with McKinsey’s Helsinki office and has extensive experience driving growth in various industries. He has been working both with private equity sponsors as well as private-equity-owned portfolio companies. Tuomas has worked extensively on marketing and sales functions supporting top-line growth for several consumer product and service companies.

He has a strong operational focus and hands-on experience in growing companies organically, as well as through M&As. Tuomas has been responsible for strategy, sustainability, process development, and quality in many previous roles.

Recent examples of Tuomas’s client work include the following:

  • supporting the scale-up of a company to strengthen its strategy
  • leading several due diligence projects for private equity and family-owned companies
  • developing responses for travel-related operations in an environment of high volatility
  • supporting the identification of a manufacturing company’s growth strategy

Prior to joining McKinsey, Tuomas worked as the COO and operating partner at a private-equity company in Helsinki.

Tuomas has cowritten several books about growth, brand building, and marketing sourcing. In his spare time, he enjoys being out in nature and relaxing at his summer house with his wife and their Bernese Mountain Dog.
