About Tore

Tore was one of McKinsey’s longest-serving senior partners before transitioning to a senior external advisor role for the firm on a 60 percent basis. He joined the firm more than 35 years ago and was a senior partner for 25 years. He moved to the Doha office in 2012 and was part of the local leadership team.

Tore has a very long record as a firm leader. He was a shareholder member for 18 years, led the Scandinavian office and work in the Africa, Europe, and Middle East region for seven years, and was the chairman of the directors committee for several years.

Tore is a professional globetrotter, having served clients in more than 20 countries. He has deep experience in corporate transformations, with a focus on the global energy and materials sector and the public sector. Having spent most of his career in small offices, such as those in Oslo and Doha, he is in many ways a classic generalist, with a keen focus on CEO and top-team leadership. He has been the counselor of many CEOs around the world.

A frequent speaker on the topics of leadership and change, Tore also often serves as a faculty member for internal and external leadership programs.

Tore is a board director for the Business for Peace Foundation and is on Board Impact’s advisory board.
