About Thomas

Thomas is one of the leaders of our Life Sciences Practice in Europe with responsibility for leading our team in Germany and Eastern Europe. He is also a member of the executive team of the European healthcare-transaction group and advises private equity and other investors interested in the healthcare sector, including a group of mid-size companies seeking to increase their performance.

Thomas’ most recent projects include extensive restructuring programs in the pharmaceutical and medical-technology sectors, innovation programs in biopharmaceutical research and development, and several large-scale integration projects. In addition, he has participated in more than 100 healthcare projects in recent years, including identifying value levers and assisting in the realization of company value.

Before joining McKinsey, Thomas studied medicine in Australia, Germany, and the United States. His doctoral thesis focused on oncology and in vitro diagnostics.
