Tanuja Randery

Tanuja is a partner in McKinsey’s Transformation Practice, based in the London office. She is a seasoned transformation leader having spent the past 20 years in senior executive roles both as CEO, and Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. She specializes in commercial transformations and has helped numerous companies redesign their go-to-market strategy, re-energize sales and channel effectiveness, and build their sales capabilities to drive organic growth.

Tanuja works with a broad range of national and multinational companies on transformation and has extensive experience in the design and execution of large-scale transformation programs, including performance management, transformation governance, operating-model redesign, and organization culture. She works in a wide range of sectors, including high tech, telecommunications, and advanced industries.

Examples of Tanuja’s recent work include the following:

  • serving as CTO coach for a global manufacturer of industrial products, leading a multiyear change program focused on delivering above average growth and margin expansion through targeted initiatives to improve pricing discipline and unlock value-based pricing opportunities; diversifying revenue stream from install to recurring revenue, setting up a SME business leveraging multichannel go-to-market, improving key account management, and driving supply chain efficiency and field productivity
  • leading the build of a SaaS business for a global building technology services provider, building agile capabilities, enabling VOC to inform solutions build, launching new SaaS solutions in multiple geographies, implementing digital marketing, setting up inside sales/online channels, recruiting digital talent, and creating MVPs for new solutions
  • advising a leading global engineering and consulting company on transforming its organization and identifying performance improvement across major projects, consulting and operations.

Tanuja was at McKinsey from 1995 to 2002 in North America, and left to hold various executive roles in technology and telecom firms, most recently as president and CEO of Schneider Electric in the UK and Ireland. She rejoined the firm in 2019 in London from Apax Partners.

Outside of work, Tanuja serves as non-executive director in London First and Save the Children UK. She is also the founder of PowerWomen Network—a network for senior women business leaders in London. She has been recognized for her work in inclusion and diversity as a top-50 Champions for Women in Business by FT’s HERoes in 2017 and 2018.
