About Steve

Steve is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Philadelphia office. He is the former head of the Philadelphia office and a leader in Digital McKinsey. Steve leads McKinsey’s healthcare-technology work in North America, focusing on how technology can create business value in the healthcare sector. He is also a leader in the North American Financial Services Practice, serving both public- and private-sector organizations on projects including strategy, operations improvement, distribution, and growth.

Examples of Steve’s recent client work include the following:

  • developing corporate strategy for a leading financial-services firm in the United States, focused on retirement, insurance, and benefits
  • supporting strategy and a comprehensive performance transformation for a leading health-insurance payor in the United States
  • leading a customer-experience transformation for a large consumer company focused on omnichannel-based modernization, and reimagining all high-priority customer journeys

For nearly a decade, Steve led McKinsey’s relationship and recruiting efforts with the Wharton School of Business. He also serves on the board of trustees for the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.
