About Siddarth

Based in our Chicago office, Siddarth advises clients in the technology and semiconductor sectors on end-to-end margin excellence—operations improvement, pricing, commercial excellence—and strategy.

He jointly leads several knowledge efforts for the McKinsey Semiconductor Practice, for example, developing a perspective on the challenges facing the industry in 2016. He has also led efforts for several clients on topics ranging from deal sourcing and market and target due diligence, to operational transformation in telecommunications and semiconductors. Examples of his work include:

  • multiple projects with leading semiconductor IDMs (integrated device manufacturers) to transform their cost structure (manufacturing, SG&A) and to drive throughput improvements across their front-end and back-end networks
  • multiple projects with leading semiconductor companies (e.g., fabless, IDMs, software players) to advise them and jointly determine their strategy (e.g., in which end-markets to participate, what technology and commercial partnerships to prioritize, what approach to follow to mergers and acquisitions)
  • multiple projects with leading technology businesses to advise them on their pricing strategy

Siddarth leads the organization of the McKinsey Semiconductor Practice’s annual T-30 summit, which convenes CEOs and CxOs of leading companies in the industry and its related ecosystem.
