Rock is a senior partner at McKinsey. He coleads McKinsey’s Marketing & Sales Practice and serves on McKinsey’s North American operating committee. Rock focuses primarily on accelerating growth through strategic and commercial levers for industrial, technology, and private equity clients.
Prior to his current role, Rock led the global launch and scaling of McKinsey’s capabilities, combining data science with the firm’s industry knowledge and functional expertise, to build packages of proprietary data, enterprise software, and analytical services that help organizations make smarter decisions. McKinsey’s capabilities have fundamentally changed and shaped the firm’s approach to all aspects of its client service. Rock also helped build McKinsey’s Technology, Media, & Telecommunications Practice.
Rock has a Bachelor's degree in public policy from Stanford University, an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a juris doctor from Stanford Law School. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
Rock is also passionate about the environment and is a long-term board member of Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago.
