Brings global industry expertise to support automotive and assembly companies in achieving aspirational performance goals and making transformational change happen

Robert leads our Operations practice in Asia-Pacific. He serves industrial companies as well as enterprises in adjacent sectors on a broad array of topics.

He brings particular expertise in the areas of operational improvement—such as product development, quality, innovation, and procurement—and transformational change. Most recently, he counseled a consumer-electronics company on upgrading its software-engineering performance.

Other examples of his recent work include improving a global automotive company’s revenue-management approach and executing a lean transformation of a large industrial company’s indirect workforce.

In augmenting clients’ work through large-scale transformations, Robert focuses on coaching executives and managers to help their organizations’ mind-sets and behaviors change alongside the companies themselves.

Robert has also significantly contributed to McKinsey’s research on Industry 4.0, IoT, and how Japanese companies can capture future business opportunities.

Since joining McKinsey in 1999, Robert has spent considerable time serving clients in Europe, North America, China, and Southeast Asia, and is passionate about helping companies define and execute their globalization strategies.
