About Peter

Peter co-leads McKinsey’s task force on IT in utilities and is a member of the leadership of McKinsey’s sourcing expertise. While much of his work has been with utilities, including enterprise architecture and cost-reduction projects, Peter has also been very involved in the retail and high-tech sectors. He has participated in the design and setup of a world-class retail sales organization, an IT outsourcing deal for a high-tech company, and IT trading post merger management for a European utility. Peter is also a founder and leader of McKinsey’s annual Eastern Europe sourcing conference.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Peter worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Aachen. He has experience in analytic methods for decision support, simulation, data warehousing, IT architecture design, relational/object-oriented databases, and IT strategy development.
