About Pal Erik

Pal Erik is the managing partner of McKinsey’s offices in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EEMA), as well as a member of the shareholder council and global operating committee.

He is an expert on global trends, digitization, telecommunications, and high tech, with a client portfolio including companies in the telecommunications, financial-markets, and oil-and-gas industries. The functional focus of his client work has been corporate strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformations.

Before stepping into the position of managing partner in EEMA, Pal Erik led McKinsey’s Norwegian office (2007–10), was part of the leadership of the Scandinavian offices, and led the office complex in Eastern Europe (2010–13). In addition, he has held leadership roles in the firm’s Telecommunications, High Tech, and Strategy & Corporate Finance Practices.

Pal Erik served as an officer in the Norwegian Air Force before joining McKinsey. He is a passionate alpine and cross-country skier and enjoys hiking and traveling with his family.
