About Nicola

Since 1992, Nicola has advised executives on fundamental strategic and organizational challenges and helped them lead operational transformations.

Nicola’s client work spans a wide range, from guiding initiatives for retail and consumer goods companies to addressing public sector considerations such as fostering excellence in education, healthcare, and sports. He has decades of experience mobilizing organizations to make large-scale shifts in strategic direction and operational approach, including creating comprehensive plans for achieving sustainable top-line growth against a backdrop of rapid change.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • supporting, over a 15-year period, a subsidiary of a global leader to achieve and sustain undisputed market preeminence and leadership
  • helping idealize, launch, and scale one of the largest infrastructure companies in Brazil
  • orchestrating a massive three-year merger planning process across all areas of strategy and operations to create one of Brazil’s largest consumer goods multi-nationals
  • supporting one of South America’s largest retailers in a three-year transformation program, where the scope included corporate strategy and organization, commercial effectiveness, format redesign, logistics effectiveness, and category management
  • spearheading educational reform in Brazil, including a substantial program to transform primary education in one of the largest Brazilian states
  • leading a program to help an NGO boost the performance of athletes in selected sports

Strongly interested in community development, Nicola is a current board member for MASP (Brazil) and a former member at FIESP - Social Council (Brazil). He speaks Portuguese and English and is conversant in Italian and Spanish. He has been a speaker at over one hundred public and business events across Latin America and beyond.
