About Naveen

Naveen is the managing partner of McKinsey’s Chennai office. He returned to India after nine years in Australia where he set up and ran our Perth office. He has extensive experience in large-scale organizational transformation, having helped half a dozen clients transform over an 18–36 month period.

In addition, Naveen established the firm’s electric power and utility work in Australia. He is passionate about helping organizations develop their individual and collective leadership potential.

Naveen has worked with McKinsey for over 17 years with experience in India, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Examples of Naveen’s recent client work include the following:

  • leading a comprehensive business transformation for a A$6 billion Australian agri-cooperative
  • leading a business transformation for several Australian utilities across the public and private sector, covering all areas—retail, generation, external spend, and overheads
  • leading digital strategy and transformation for an Australian health insurer, including system procurement and business process transformation
  • creating an analytics capability for a large Australian retail conglomerate, building an analytics team of around ten members and deploying multiple analytics use cases over a 12-month period
  • leading a business transformation at an Australian mining company, including comprehensive scope covering all business areas over an 18-month period

Naveen earned his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and BTech in civil engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
