About Michal

Michal is the head of Digital McKinsey in Central and Eastern Europe. He is also a co-leader of our enterprise architecture work and a member of our Banking and Insurance Digital and Operations Practice.

Having worked on four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America),his focus is on large-scale digital and IT architecture transformations, digitization of key customer journeys, and improvements of time-to-market and productivity. As a member of the firm’s Banking and Insurance Digital and Operations Practice , he also assists clients in redesigning their cross-border, operating models, post-merger integrations, cross-border operations, cost management, rapid simplification and digitalization, agile and lean initiatives, and more.

Examples of his work include the following:

  • leading rapid simplification and digitization projects for key customer journeys, including client on-boarding and different types of lending (mortgage, deposits and investment advisory, bank insurance model)
  • auditing a number of large-scale core banking system replacement programs and other large IT programs, proposing strategies to get the projects back on track
  • designing more than ten large-scale IT core platform and architecture transformations, defining a business case for many of them
  • Developing lean implementation in infrastructure, application development, and maintenance
  • defining business-driven target IT architecture roadmaps
  • designing and overseeing post-merger management for banking, insurance, and energy clients
