About Michael

Michael, a leader in our Pharmaceutical & Medical Products Practice, has served as McKinsey’s chief financial officer since 2015. He is also a member of McKinsey’s Partnership Service Team and Shareholders Council.

Since joining McKinsey, Michael has focused on helping leading global organizations grow and improve their performance, assisting with strategy, business development, M&A, and organizational issues. He has served a broad range of health-care clients in his more than 25 years as a management consultant.

Examples of Michael's work include creating a comprehensive R&D strategy for a top-ten pharmaceutical company, developing a business-transformation strategy for a leading health-services group, and supporting a broad-based M&A program for a top-15 global pharmaceutical firm. Michael also developed a holistic growth strategy for a leading global manufacturer of medical products and evaluated growth opportunities in specialty devices.
