About Mehmet

Mehmet brings deep expertise in digital, Industry 4.0, and technology, helping local and multinational companies across industries implement digital businesses. He works closely with chief information and technology officers to build the strong IT infrastructure and architecture necessary for digital transformation. Recently, Mehmet has been focusing on serving companies in advanced industries—primarily automotive, defense, and machinery—to help transform business performance and build capabilities.

Mehmet’s expertise covers several technology domains, including IT architecture, technology operations, IT assessment, digital transformation, data centers, and cloud computing. His hands-on working style helps companies create business-technology offices and build the implementation skills necessary to sustain transformation.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • leading a major data-center transformation, including building the IT foundations for digital, for a large bank in Turkey
  • directing the digital transformation of a large conglomerate active in energy, automotive, and logistics
  • helping an industrial association design and build a digital-technology center to serve as a model for digital-manufacturing factories
  • advising several financial-services and industrial companies—including financial intermediaries, oil and gas retailers, and financial-holding companies—on improving IT processes and organization

Prior to joining McKinsey, Mehmet held various C-level roles in local and multinational telecommunications and IT organizations in Turkey. He was responsible for leading turnarounds and transformations in these companies by reengineering processes, deploying advanced IT systems, redesigning the organization, cultivating a high-performance culture, and launching new products and services.
