Magnus is the managing partner for McKinsey in Europe, and a member of our global leadership team, known as the Acceleration Team.
Magnus has been with McKinsey for over 30 years, and has worked in Europe for most of this time. Before stepping into the position of managing partner in Europe (in September 2020), Magnus led the firm’s risk, audit, and governance committee (2019-20), and has held a number of other positions including managing partner for Scandinavia (2010-14) and leader of the Life Sciences Practice (for EMEA between 2003-10; globally 2009-10).
Magnus primarily serves clients in the healthcare and life-sciences, telecommunications, and advanced industries sectors, as well as in the public sector. He works across a range of topics with a particular emphasis on strategy, organization, and large-scale transformations.
In his spare time, Magnus enjoys sailing and going on family vacations with his wife and four children.
