Maarten leads our Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice in Southeast Asia. He advises organizations in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors on issues related to strategy and corporate finance. Drawing on his extensive experience working in private equity, he leads due diligence, valuation, and transaction efforts across industries. His clients span Europe and Asia.

Some examples of Maarten’s client work include leading merger-management efforts, providing strategic advisement during hostile takeovers, defining the digital strategy for companies in Europe and Asia, and supporting the end-to-end transformation of a large company’s B2B organization. He frequently works with companies to organize workshops on valuation, M&A, corporate finance, and the finance function.

In the telecommunications space specifically, he has supported clients in fixed and mobile, B2B, and consumer, as well as on issues such as procurement, network rollout, regulatory strategy, digital strategy, and go-to-market strategies.

Maarten joined McKinsey’s Amsterdam office in September 2010 and transferred to Singapore in 2013. Previously, he spent 3 years at a leading Dutch private-equity fund.
