Lefteris leads McKinsey’s work on global energy and materials in Greece. He is passionate about rethinking the strategy and operations of companies in the energy and heavy industry sectors through the angle of sustainability and energy transition and digital.
Lefteris has led numerous strategic repositioning, corporate restructuring, and growth transformations for utilities and energy companies in Greece, the rest of Europe, and the Middle East. He has also driven innovation in supply chain, operations, and organization, and raised the bar on the sustainability ambition and commitment of industrial companies in Europe and the United States.
Examples of Lefteris’ recent work include the following:
- developing and supporting the implementation of an ambitious decarbonization roadmap for a European utility
- transforming the retail commercial operations for a major European energy company
- implementing a globally innovative approach for digital optimization of operations of a global basic-materials company
- defining the ESG ambition and roadmap for a major European industrial company
Lefteris is also passionate about and active in people development and recruiting in Greece and beyond.
Outside of work, Lefteris enjoys traveling, open-sea sailing, international politics, and historical literature.
