About Lalatendu

Lalatendu brings agility to digital organizations. As a leader of McKinsey Digital Labs in India, he has established and nurtured a team of designers, engineers, and software specialists. These teams work with McKinsey clients in all industries, transferring digital capabilities and bringing new businesses, products, and experiences to market. Lalatendu works primarily with banks and telecommunications firms to modernize IT architecture and implement agile operating models to deliver dramatic performance improvement. For example, he was the co-lead on an end-to-end digitization initiative that reduced an Australian bank’s average loan-processing time by 90 percent. Lalatendu also designed, architected, and led the agile delivery of the primary e-care channel for a Southeast Asian telecommunication provider. The solution is currently serving more than 13 million monthly active users and driving over 12 percent growth in revenue from package sales month on month.

Lalatendu follows the latest developments in microservices, big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, agile engineering, and development-operations (DevOps) methodology. He has also received the full suite of agile certifications from the Scrum Alliance, confirming his commitment to helping agile teams and organizations thrive. Lalatendu is a regular speaker at agile and technology events, conferences, and meet-ups across India and the United States.

Prior to McKinsey, Lalatendu worked as an agile DevOps consultant at Tata Consultancy Services.
