Jonathan serves as the global leader of McKinsey’s Consumer Technology and Media Practice, where he leads a team of partners who create change with media, entertainment, and technology companies.

Since joining McKinsey, Jonathan has served companies in social media, filmed entertainment, television, interactive entertainment, audio, news, sports, advertising, and app-based marketplaces. He helped establish the firm’s practice that coordinates our expertise and approach in these industries. He has contributed to building our firm’s capabilities in analytics, M&A, regulation, and new business building.

Jonathan is deeply committed to empowering diverse storytellers. He has led the firm’s multiyear commitment to research the impact of artificial intelligence in the creative process, and our research in inclusive storytelling. He helped establish the firm’s partnership with the Center for Constructive Communication at the MIT Media Lab and was previously an industry advisor to the World Economic Forum on the creative economy.

Jonathan received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a law degree from the UCLA School of Law.
