About Jasper

Within McKinsey’s Organization Practice in Asia, Jasper leads our strategic workforce-planning work. In this capacity, he supports organizations seeking to anticipate emerging trends associated with the future of work, workforce composition, and workplace models.

As an advisor to top executives, Jasper focuses on leading full-company culture and performance transformations. This work includes mobilizing thousands of employees around ambitious aspirations and developing the capabilities and mind-sets to deliver more than they thought possible. Always looking for ways to boost leadership and team effectiveness, Jasper also helps senior-leadership teams work together effectively and derive insights from advanced people analytics.

Formerly a mergers and acquisitions lawyer in Europe, Jasper guides large-scale transformations and turnarounds across Australia and New Zealand. His work spans industries as varied as telecommunications, financial technology, and retail. What his clients all have in common is people-intensive operations that require the well-coordinated activities of an effective workforce.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • spearheading a cultural transformation for one of New Zealand’s leading retailers, with a focus on behavioral change cascading from the CEO down to the front line
  • orchestrating an agile operating-model change for a major Australian financial-technology firm, including leading a predictive people-analytics diagnostic to identify risks and opportunities in attrition and retention patterns
  • supporting a global dairy company in a private-equity style due diligence exercise which resulted in a two-year, more than $1 billion international transformation in performance and health
  • redesigning the organizational structure and operating model of a major Australian gas enterprise, making it leaner and more efficient

With degrees in law, sociology, and business, Jasper is a sought-after speaker on the topic of the future of work, especially anticipating the impact of technology and automation on the workforce.

Jasper received the Excellence Scholarship from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales in Sydney where he completed his MBA studies. He was also a lecturer at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Jasper is fluent in Dutch and English.
