Hanish is a partner in McKinsey's Gurugram office. He advises companies in the transport and logistics sector on driving growth strategies, large-scale transformation, cost optimization, network design, and operations. Hanish has more than 12 years of experience in this space, having worked in India, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia.

Hanish also served as chief of staff to the Union Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry of India for three years, during which he drove significant policy breakthroughs and led strategic performance initiatives.

Examples of Hanish’s recent work include the following:

  • leading a “grow to IPO” transformation for a prominent third-party logistics company in India—with a focus on transforming the India business—defining an acquisition strategy and roadmap, and IPO readiness
  • building new business for an aftermarket company in the auto sector
  • defining the growth blueprint for an air express company in India
  • assisting a leading auto company in India with a logistics-cost optimization program of its outbound supply chain, resulting in improved truck utilization, an enhanced network, and a rationalized supplier base

He is a member of the National Logistics Council of Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and regularly speaks at events organized by the National Logistics Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
