About Gaurav

Gaurav Batra, based in our Washington, DC, office, coleads the Advanced Electronics Practice in the Americas. He advises clients on strategy and margin improvement issues—with particular focus on commercial excellence, pricing, and distributor/channel management. Gaurav leads McKinsey’s Advanced Data Analytics (ADA) initiative in the Advanced Electronics Practice to help drive sustainable performance improvement for our clients.

Some of Gaurav’s recent projects have involved the following:

  • transforming the product and go-to-market strategy for a leading high-tech company facing disruptive change
  • cost and productivity improvement effort for a leading advanced electronics company
  • supporting several semiconductor and high-tech companies in pricing transformation programs to deliver significant gross margin improvement
  • advising major post-merger integrations in the semiconductor/advanced electronics space, particularly in synergy identification and capture

Prior to joining McKinsey, Gaurav worked as a senior business manager of corporate development with Capital One—a leading diversified financial services company in the United States.
