About

Florian is the global knowledge leader of our Chemicals Practice, and he led the practice globally and in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for many years. Since joining McKinsey, he has supported companies on projects related to strategy, organization, merger and acquisition, and functional excellence. Florian has broad experience in the chemical industry, having served clients in the petrochemical, commodity, and specialty chemical sectors, including technical polymers, fibers, and inorganics. In addition to his work with chemical companies, he has advised clients in the oil and gas, utility, and pharmaceutical industries. Based in Frankfurt, he supports companies all over Europe and the Middle East, and he has worked with clients in Asia, Brazil, and the United States.

Among his extensive client work, Florian recently supported a European specialty-chemical company on a significant performance-improvement program, a major acquisition, and a functional-excellence program. He also recently helped a leading petrochemical company in the Middle East with a major profitability-improvement program.
