Enables organizations to deliver lasting change by working with them to accelerate execution, develop leaders, and equip their people for success

About Elizabeth

Liz is a global leader of McKinsey Academy, our client facing entity for capability building and leadership development. She oversees development and deployment of our suite of proprietary offerings as well as the technology underpinning how we deliver capability building and leadership development. McKinsey Academy is part of McKinsey Accelerate—the firm’s entity focused on going beyond strategy to delivering impact.

Liz is an expert in change management and organizational health with deep expertise in capability building. She works with organizations to understand what capabilities are needed to achieve performance objectives and working side-by-side to design and implement the needed interventions, using a range of in-person or virtual workshops, digital self-paced programs, fieldwork and on-the-job coaching.

In her decade plus at McKinsey, Liz has advised leading private and public sector institutions on how to achieve lasting impact of their strategies.

Examples of Liz’ recent client work include the following:

  • designing a signature leadership development program for a leading global law firm
  • assisting a top global nongovernmental organization with its signature reform efforts by architecting a change-management approach and defining key elements for the transformation
  • developing the capability building and change management plan for a leading US bank moving to an agile operating model

Liz is deeply passionate about the issue of diversity and inclusion. She is the partner champion for our McKinsey Black Network in the Northeast. Before joining McKinsey, Liz was an officer in the US Army with two year-long tours in Iraq, where she served on the senior staff of General David Petraeus as his speechwriter. She also spent time as a company commander, operations officer, and personnel officer while in uniform. A Rhodes and Truman Scholar, Liz was also a presidential appointee to the US Military Academy Board of Visitors.
