Since joining the firm in 2000, Duarte has primarily served clients in the telecommunications, banking, and retail sectors. He has helped major institutions in a wide range of areas such as strategy, operations, and marketing and sales.
Duarte currently leads the marketing and sales group within the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice. One of his focus areas is distribution and he has helped numerous operators across the world with channel mix management and individual optimization programs.
In the corporate area, he supported telecom companies in defining corporate and regulatory strategies, while on the business side, he helped develop product pricing and distribution strategies for a major mobile company. He has also worked extensively on operational improvements and financial turnarounds.
In addition to the telecom industry, Duarte has worked on a wide range of projects in the financial-services sector in Europe and South America. He has developed strategic plans for leading European institutions and has been actively involved in several business development efforts, from launching small business units and revitalizing international private-banking businesses to coordinating major client acquisition efforts. He has also participated in cost-reduction programs for European banks, and for a South American institution, he helped redesign its end-to-end operations on a global scale, streamlining and improving service.
