About Driek

Driek leads Digital Labs in Asia and our work in digital design and delivery capability. From 2009 till 2014 he led McKinsey’s Business Technology Practice in Asia, and prior to that the Insurance Operations & IT Practice in Europe and the Northern European Business Technology Practice. Driek has more than 20 years of experience serving financial institutions and technology-related companies in Asia and Europe. His work focuses on growth strategies, digital-business-model design and implementation, and large-scale transformations. In operations and IT, he helped launch McKinsey's efforts in lean operations in banking and insurance, founded the global banking and insurance IT benchmarks, led multiple programs on end-to-end delivery and worked on a multitude of IT-related programs, including core-banking-system replacement, online-banking-solution design, and IT simplification.

His recent experience includes:

  • designing and implementing a new cross-border digital-business-banking model
  • developing a multiyear IT transformation for a large Asian bank, and setting up the delivery program
  • defining the long-term growth strategy for a leading international financial institution
  • rationalising the product-and-application portfolio of a large international bank
