About Dmitry

Dmitry leads the Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice in the United Kingdom and is a leader in our Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products Practice, having worked in this space for nearly a decade. He also leads McKinsey’s healthcare transactions work in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, focusing on buy-side and sell-side support, as well as working closely with (mostly) privately owned companies to improve their performance.

Over the years, Dmitry has served clients across big pharma, med tech, specialty pharma, generics, and pharmaceutical and medical-technology services (care-management organisations, clinical-research organisations, and contact-sales organisations), and worked in Asia, Israel, the United States, and Western and Eastern Europe.

Examples of his recent work include the following:

  • conducting over 50 commercial due diligences in healthcare
  • supporting five sell-side processes in medical device and pharmaceutical services (with multiples ranging from 15 to above 20)
  • helping a private-equity-owned medical-device company transform its performance to increase EBITDA by 25 percent
  • supporting a leading medical technology player in establishing a verticalised services business, with the intention of adding 5 to 10 percent growth to the company on top of their existing business
  • working with a care-management organisation in the medical-device space in enhancing their growth and identifying opportunities to go direct in their market, leading to 15 percent higher growth versus budget in the first 6 months of support
