Bo leads McKinsey’s agile-transformation work for the Telecommunications Practice in Europe and the Middle East. In this role, he seeks to enhance the firm’s ability to help complex, people-intensive organizations increase speed of execution, better respond and adapt to customer needs, and improve productivity. Bo primarily advises companies in the telecommunications and financial-services sectors.
By working with executives, Bo helps clients tap the power of digital technologies and platforms. The goals of the resulting large-scale digital transformations are to provide a more holistic view of customer data and inspire new ways of working. Digital transformation also leads to the adoption of new agile operating models.
Examples of his recent client work include the following:
- establishing a start-up-like digital unit within a leading Scandinavian telecommunications company to drive a more holistic customer-journey approach while performing a cost transformation
- transforming one of the largest global telecommunications operators by designing its agile blueprint and implementation plan, which included improving customer satisfaction, efficiency, time to market, and employee engagement
- planning and implementing a large Latin American telecommunications company’s enterprise-wide agile transformation at scale to achieve greater innovation and faster time to market with an optimized workforce configuration
- defining digital ambitions and targets for a large telecommunications operator, with the subsequent county-by-country rollout of new agile operating model
