Bernadette leads McKinsey's North American public sector operations work. She advises leaders across the defense, national security, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors on large-scale operational and organizational transformations.
She supports public-and private-sector organizations in acquiring and maintaining major weapons systems, developing and delivering life-saving medical supplies, and working with global partners to improve collective readiness. She focuses on addressing critical operational challenges, including manufacturing modernization, maintenance and asset reliability, workforce redesign, capital allocation, and supply chain resilience.
Bernadette also leads McKinsey’s Women in National Security group, helping to advance opportunities for women serving in national defense roles.
Bernadette received an MBA from Duke University, a master of science with distinction in applied social research from Trinity College Dublin, and a bachelor of arts in policy management from Dickinson College. She lives in Virginia with her husband and four children.
